The German Equestrian Federation has recently announced the newly elected Dressage Committee for the upcoming four-year term. This electoral process, held every four years, involves the German FN and the German Equestrian Olympic Committee (DOKR) selecting new members for various key positions, including those within the Sport, Breeding, and Personal Members departments, along with the DOKR Discipline Committees.

Additionally, the DOKR para advisory board consists of Jan Holger Holtschmit as the chair, assisted by Britta Bando as the deputy chair. The committee includes key figures such as Simone Krychowski, Silke Fütterer-Sommer as the team trainer, Rolf Grebe as the junior team trainer, Nico Hörmann as the discipline coordinator, Regine Mispelkamp representing senior athletes, Markus Beerhus as the athletes representative, Stefan Sevenich as the doctor, and Malte Penning as the veterinarian.
These appointments bring a mix of experience and fresh perspectives to the German Dressage Committee, setting the tone for the development and progress of dressage in the region. The continuity of leadership ensures a smooth transition and ongoing commitment to the sport’s growth and success.

The significance of these elections extends beyond the immediate term, influencing the strategic direction and decision-making processes within the German Equestrian Federation. The diverse backgrounds and expertise of the committee members will play a crucial role in shaping the future of dressage and maintaining Germany’s strong presence in international equestrian competitions.

As the equestrian community navigates through evolving trends and challenges, the role of governing bodies like the German Equestrian Federation becomes increasingly vital.
