Christian Kukuk, the reigning Olympic champion from Germany, showcased his equestrian prowess by clinching victory in the prestigious $350,000 Lugano Grand Prix CSIO5*-LLN at the World Equestrian Center – Ocala. The event, held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, witnessed Kukuk’s exceptional performance aboard Just Be Gentle, an 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare.
The competition, set against the backdrop of the WEC Grand Arena in Ocala, Florida, attracted 37 top show jumping riders from around the world. The challenging course, designed by Ireland’s Alan Wade, tested the riders’ skills, with nine participants advancing to the jump-off round, where Kukuk emerged as a formidable contender.
Executing a flawless clear round in a time of 40.61 seconds, Kukuk set the bar high for his competitors in the jump-off.
