Para Equestrian and Virtus Equestrian riders showcased their exceptional talents at the Hawkesbury Dressage Festival held at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre. Organized by the Hawkesbury Dressage Club, this year’s event featured an international-level competition that included CPEDI3* and CPEDI2* classes, along with Virtus Equestrian classes in collaboration with Carlton Performance Horses.
The competition spanned from June 14 to June 22, with the first three days dedicated to the Para and Virtus Equestrian events. Riders from various grades and categories took center stage, demonstrating their skills and passion for dressage.
On the opening day, riders embraced the lovely weather conditions, showcasing their prowess in the dressage arena. Maddison Cooke and Baylee Magic II emerged victorious in the CPEDI3* Grade 2 category, while Claire Graham and Fürst Olli 3 excelled in Grade 4. Additionally, Mietta Innes-Irons and Sir Helmut delivered an outstanding performance in Grade 5, setting the tone for a competitive event.
Throughout the festival, riders continued to impress the audience and judges with their grace and precision in each test. Notable performances included those of Kate Nipperess and Dame Remi Wolverine in the CPEDI2* Grade 2 category and Helen Batson with MSJ Tia Fortuna in Grade 4.
Among the Virtus Equestrian participants, Grace Murphie-Ryan stood out with an exceptional score in the Grade 4 Novice Test A, showcasing the talent and dedication of these riders.
