FEI Level 4 Designer Alec Lochore to Craft LA28 Eventing Course

Alec Lochore, a seasoned FEI Level 4 Course Designer and Technical Delegate from Great Britain, has been entrusted with the prestigious role of designing the Eventing course for the upcoming Olympic Games in Los Angeles 2028. Lochore’s appointment was officially confirmed during the FEI Board meeting held in Lausanne, Switzerland. Alongside him, Michael Etherington-Smith, also from Great Britain, will serve as the course advisor for this grand event.

Lochore, aged 53, boasts an impressive career spanning more than 20 years in international Eventing. His wealth of experience includes pivotal roles such as Eventing Manager at the 2012 London Olympics and contributions to the success of the Tokyo 2020 Games. He has actively participated in various FEI World Equestrian Games™ and European Championships. Lochore’s expertise extends beyond course design, having served on the FEI Eventing Committee and collaborated on multiple FEI Working Groups.
