The 2025 Victorian Equestrian Interschool Series (VEIS) for Dressage, sponsored by RB Sellars, recently concluded with its Grand Final at the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre. The series, consisting of three rounds across Victoria, attracted over 220 horse-and-rider combinations, with 98 competing in the Grand Final.
This year, the competition showcased riders of all ages, from the youngest in Preparatory level to Year 12 students in the Small Tour division. The event marked a resurgence in participation after the challenges of COVID lockdowns impacted equestrian sports in Victoria.
Imogen Diss riding Rivington Tegwen excelled at the Preparatory Level, clinching the Grand Final Champion title. In the Primary Preliminary category, Liza Smith on Aced It emerged as the Grand Final Champion, while Georgia Tettamanti on Aylestone Park Valdez secured the Series Champion title.
At the Primary Novice level, Xoya Jell-Batha and Arcadian Enforcer stood out, claiming both the Series and Grand Final Champion titles. In the Intermediate Preliminary division, Lucinda Cooper and KRP Bonanza triumphed in the Grand Final, with Tyler Gamble on SLH Noble Ledger clinching the Series Champion title.
Jude May showcased exceptional performance in the Intermediate Novice category, winning both the Grand Final and Series Champion titles aboard Flowervale Bollinger. The Senior Preliminary division saw consistent results, with Annabelle Richardson on Merricks Fiore emerging as both Series and Grand Final Champion.
Amelia Baines on Esquire secured victory in the Senior Novice Grand Final, while Sienna Pullar on Bloomfield Focus finished as Reserve Champion. Bianca Griffiths and Benita PD dominated the Elementary level, winning both the Grand Final and Series titles.
Scarlett Taylor on Equine Affair Blackjack impressed in the Medium division, claiming both the Grand Final and Series Champion titles. Cleo Billings on Welfs Applause emerged victorious in the Advanced level, while Zali Mills on Royal Diamond Jubilee and Rosemary Heagney on MSJ Nemo excelled in the Small Tour category.
Overall, the 2025 VEIS Dressage Series Grand Final showcased the skill and dedication of equestrian athletes across various levels. The event not only celebrated individual achievements but also highlighted the growing interest and talent in equestrian sports among young riders in Victoria.
